These Terminal commands will create this disk image. Instead of creating a whole new partition table for a small application, you can create a disk image of a case-insensitive format and run Steam from there. I sometimes use Steam for games on my Hackintosh, but I partitioned my disk as Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled) which is incompatible with Steam.
